The Trademark of the Brazilian Fruit ACAI is Annulled in Japan

Acai is a traditional fruit from Amazon in Brazil; however the US Company K.K. Eyela Corporation had registered it as a trademark before the Japanese Patent and Trademark Office and as a result has damaged the exportation of the fruit from Brazilian companies, which had to export this fruit with a different name. Now the trademark is finally annulled before the JPO but the US Company K.K. Eyela Corporation can still appeal the decision.
